Build at your own risk
The projects on Antenna & SDR Projects are hobby build logs. They are not certified designs, kits or a substitute for a manufacturer's instructions. Dimensions, component values and measurements are what one builder used and measured at the time. If you reproduce a project, you do so at your own risk, and results with your parts and your location will differ.
Electrical safety
Mains voltage can kill, and the capacitors inside a switch-mode power supply can stay charged after it is unplugged. If you are not trained to work on mains equipment, do not open a power supply. Use a licensed electrician where your local code requires one.
Antennas
Keep antennas, masts and feed lines well clear of power lines: contact can be fatal. Secure anything hung from trees or masts against wind and falling, and follow lightning-protection and grounding practice for your area.
Follow your licence and RF-safety rules
Transmit only on the frequencies, power levels and modes your amateur licence allows, and only into an antenna system that meets your licence conditions. Check RF exposure for your station before you operate: in the United States, FCC rules require an RF exposure evaluation for amateur stations, and the ARRL RF exposure pages explain how to do one. Other countries have their own limits.
Archive pages
Many project pages were written in 2010 and 2011 by amateur station AC8GY and are kept as an archive; this site is not run by him. Parts, software and prices change, so check current datasheets before you rely on a page.
